Industrial/Maintenance Electrician - 309A/442A

As an Industrial/Maintenance Electrician 442A/309A (2 positions available: 1 Afternoon Shift and 1 Midnight Shift), you are responsible for contributing to the company's operational performance through maintenance program compliance and work order management including reactive, corrective, and preventative maintenance for all technical and non-technical components.

Responsibilities

Contribute to operational performance through maintenance program compliance and work order management including reactive, corrective, and preventative maintenance for all technical and non-technical components; Direct and lead maintenance staff in everyday scheduling, preventative maintenance, repair of all production equipment and resolve equipment related issues; Collaborate with Maintenance team, Planner and Parts Clerk to maintain equipment and parts inventory; Conduct major equipment repairs, overhauls, and rebuilding; Ensure staff are well trained in health and safety standards and proper environmental practices; Provide support to the team across all weekdays and shifts as needed; Use CMMS and provide feedback to add value to Maintenance strategy; Conduct Root Cause Analysis on complicated and/or recurring automation failure modes; Inspect, maintain, adjust, and repair food processing equipment and machinery; Record all maintenance and repair services performed and track materials and parts used; Mentor, train, and guide junior maintenance technicians; Suggest and implement continuous improvement projects; Ensure facilities are kept to GMP, CFIA and BRC standards; Participate in continuous improvement projects; Document and coordinate pre-shift and handover meetings

Requirements

Must have Industrial/Maintenance Electrician 422A and/or 309A; Ability to read technical drawings, procedures and electrical schematics; Strong electrical knowledge and experience with a balanced mechanical, analytical, and problem-solving skills; Exceptional utilization of CMMS; Effective Trainer and Mentor; Team player with positive attitude; Exceptional time management and organizational skills, self-starter with initiative; Proven desire to learn, takes ownership, and grit for technical fields; Demonstrates humility; Aptitude to exhibit respect and protect Riverside's Core Values in a changing environment; Keeps the work atmosphere fun by keeping it light and welcoming

Nice to have

Experience with vertical wrappers, horizontal wrappers, robotics pickers and place, tunnel oven is an asset; Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, Robotics, HMIs, and controls (Allen-Bradley and SIEMENS PLCs) preferred; Hands-on experience with power transmission systems, electric and electronic controls, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, welding, brazing and soldering, servo and electric motors, lubrication types and systems preferred; Proven machining skills using lathes, milling, and drill press; Rigging and hoisting experience is an asset
