Information Systems Security Officer (Secret Clearance)

UltraViolet Cyber is seeking to hire an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to ensure that IT systems maintain their security posture and regulatory compliance. The candidate will bridge the gap between technical teams and organizational leadership, managing Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages, continuous monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities

Maintain Authorizations to Operate (ATOs) in accordance with government and industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, RMF, FISMA); Develop, update, and manage System Security Plans (SSPs) and track Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms); Conduct routine vulnerability scanning, log analysis, and system auditing; Assess the security impact of hardware, software, and firmware changes before implementation; Act as the primary point of contact for security-related issues and coordinate incident investigations

Requirements

US Citizenship is required; Secret Clearance is required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related IT field (or 6 years of experience equivalency); 10+ years of combined IT, cybersecurity, or security authorization experience; DoD 8570/8140 compliance, such as Security+, CGRC (formerly CAP), or CISSP; This role requires a federal background investigation
