Inventory Control Coordinator

Your Opportunity: The Herff Jones Cap & Gown location is looking for an Inventory Control Clerk to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. Reporting to the Inventory Control Supervisor, the Coordinator’s primary job function is to sort, count, inspect and package emblematic parts, pieces, and products to make ready for shipping department.

Responsibilities

Sort, count, inspect and package emblematic parts, pieces, and products to make ready for shipping department; Perform daily cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies; Maintain accurate inventory transactions in Oracle, including moves, transfers, adjustments and substitutions; Manage replenishment requests to ensure product availability for distribution teams; Additional tasks as necessary

Requirements

2-3 years of experience in a similar role; Good computer and communication skills; Knowledge using Microsoft Suite required; Math, critical thinking; High school diploma or equivalent required; Ability to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs; Daily activity includes lifting, carrying, sitting, grasping, reaching, standing, kneeling, walking, bending, twisting; Working at a computer for extended periods of time

Nice to have

Experience with ERP systems is highly preferred; Oracle and JMAS experience a plus; Any background in Inventory, Production/Material Control and/or Purchasing are helpful
