IT Business Process Manager

Responsibilities

Drive the digitalization of the R&D laboratories by leading the strategy, implementation and lifecycle management of laboratory IT applications; Partner closely with R&D scientists, data steward and data science team to maximize business value and enhance process automation; Lead the deployment and support of GxP and non-GxP systems; Hold the responsibility of System Owner of the IT systems assigned; Analyse the organization and design the technical systems and processes; Maximize the value the IT solutions provide to the business, defining best practices; Define the way the IT systems will support the Business processes; Ensure applications work efficiently and meet performance expectations; IT service delivery and IT project manager responsible for Lab systems in R&D; IT project manager for the implementation of a scientific platform to handle all the data generated in R&D labs; Identify areas of improvement and increase efficiency of implemented Lab processes and systems; Translate business requirements to technical and functional requirements; Coordinate and work with service support teams and Lab Vendors; Ensure documentation and knowledge transfer to service and lab support teams; Ensure appropriate function of instrumental software (including backups), complying with security requirements, data integrity and GxP; Ensure that the Disaster Recovery Test is performed periodically; Lead Operational Digital Lab forum and meetings; SPOC of users for coordinating/supporting issues and demand redirecting; Ensure new acquisitions and upgrades are cost efficient; Establish effective KPIs to measure area performance; Project management and agile mindset for the implementation of new solutions; Strategic contact for IT Business Partners; Establish and support governance for lab topics; Inform the BPOs of any events that compromise business systems continuity; Change Management with Business counterparts to ensure proper adoption of new processes

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, chemistry, biology, physics, engineering or closely related discipline to management of laboratory systems; At least 5 years of Lab Software Management experience; Lead Digital Lab implementation projects in pharma from design to deployment; Managing complex IT projects with vendors and multiple stakeholders; Lab application development, process design, and system validation practices; Demonstrated experience in Laboratory systems or similar business process configuration; Knowledge of laboratory processes and associated systems (LIMS, EMPOWER, LAB-X, ELN); Market vision for solutions and trends of Laboratory systems; Broad understanding of the Pharma industry including GxP compliance; Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills; Capability to think strategically; Ability to communicate and build relationships with stakeholders; Ability to coordinate with different teams in different locations; Expert in challenging, convincing and managing the diverse stakeholders' sensitivities; Languages: Spanish and English proficiency; User centric and results oriented; Scientific mindset, analytical and problem-solving skills; Flexibility and adaptability; Conflict resolution and problem solving; Collaboration, team player

Specific experience with the implementation of platforms to manage scientific (lab) data; Agile or scrum certifications
