IT Solution Architect for Digital Workplace Evolution

You will join our international and dedicated team to provide Digital Workplace (DW) solutions to around 19.000 customers.

Responsibilities

Lead the strategic transition towards Non-Windows Operating Systems (ChromeOS) to reduce legacy dependencies and modernize the workplace environment; Drive consolidation and simplification of Digital Workplace application portfolio, mitigating risks associated with MS Office decommissioning and transition to Google Workspace; Manage comprehensive Obsolescence Management lifecycle for legacy hardware and software systems, ensuring operational stability during transition; Support Lead Architect in evaluating and implementing complex IT demands from internal customers, translating them into scalable, secure, and compliant architecture designs; Collaborate closely with Airbus Commercial IT Infrastructure to ensure seamless group integration while safeguarding ASA's local operational sovereignty and control; Actively identify and mitigate risks of shadow IT by designing user-centric, unified digital workplace solutions; Align workplace architecture strategy with organization's business objectives and overarching strategy

Requirements

Degree in (business) informatics, computer science, or comparable qualification; proven experience as an IT/Workplace Architect or in a similar strategic role; strong knowledge and hands-on experience with modern OS ecosystems (specifically ChromeOS and Linux deployments) and cloud-based productivity suites (Google Workspace); proven track record in IT simplification, application portfolio consolidation, and obsolescence management within complex, large-scale corporate environments; excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively mediate between technical teams, internal business units, and global Airbus IT functions; strong understanding of the intersection between Digital Workplace and Identity Access Management (IAM) to ensure secure access and lifecycle management; fluent in Romanian and English
