Jr. Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Jr. Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Jr. Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in supporting our construction projects by assisting in cost estimation, quantity take-offs, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing bills of quantities and cost estimates for construction projects; Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications; Support the preparation of tender documents and contract administration; Assist in the evaluation of contractor claims and variations; Participate in site visits to verify work progress and quantities; Help maintain accurate project cost records and reports; Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure project success; Contribute to the development of cost-saving strategies and value engineering initiatives; Assist in the preparation of monthly progress reports and financial forecasts; Stay updated on local building codes and regulations in Dubai

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field; 0-2 years of experience in quantity surveying or related field; Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft); Strong mathematical and analytical skills; Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities; Good communication skills (written and verbal); Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; Basic knowledge of construction processes and methodologies; Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Dubai; Willingness to work on various construction sites in Dubai and surrounding areas; Professional certification (e.g., APC) is a plus
