KidStrong Coach

At KidStrong, we help parents build stronger, smarter, more athletic kids. KidStrong is a milestone accelerator for kids walking through 11 years old. We help parents discover their child’s superpowers and build future-ready kids who are confident making friends running the playground and raising their hands high in the classroom. KidStrong is a private child development training center focused on brain, physical & character development for ages walking through 11 years old.

Responsibilities

Two coaches working together with up to 20 students (10:1 student to coach ratio) with age groups ranging from walking to 11 years old; Teach the KidStrong curriculum as provided by the HQ programming team; Ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace of curriculum; Greet students and their parents/guardians individually prior to and at beginning of class; Maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading class; Demonstrate and manage the implementation of various exercises; Ensure cleanliness of the center including lobby, bathrooms, and blue floors; Effectively use the KS Coach’s App to record class data and provide records for parents; Communicate professionally with co-workers in Slack; Complete trainings through FranConnect as required by the HQ Training and Certification team; Work in a physically intensive environment, covering multiple miles and lifting/moving equipment up to 25 pounds; Work hands-on with kids to ensure proper technique and student safety; Assist parents of students ages 4 and younger with direction and flow of class; Attend monthly center staff programming meetings; Attend additional mandatory staff meetings as required by KidStrong Director; Learn and manage Coach KidStrong Academy special classes when local schools are not operating; Obtain certified status by the HQ Training and Certification team

Requirements

Passion for working with children; Prior experience speaking to and educating parents on the KidStrong curriculum; Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics; CPR certified; Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills; Self-starter; Comfortable speaking to parents/guardians regarding the why behind the KidStrong curriculum; Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment, lifting and repeatedly moving equipment up to 25 pounds; Must be comfortable working hands-on with kids; Must obtain certified status by the HQ Training and Certification team

Nice to have

Athletic or coaching background; Experience coaching kids ages walking to 11 years old; Prior experience coaching students within the appropriate KidStrong age; Prior experience as a pediatric OT/PT
