To provide quality patient care to postpartum women and new-born patients and to support the breastfeeding experience.

Requirements

Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario; Current BCLS certification required at time of hire; Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience as an IBCLC required; 3-5 years’ experience in a clinical setting providing direct patient care for breastfeeding preferred; Current Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification preferred; Preferred candidates will demonstrate ongoing professional development through recognized courses in Maternal and/or Newborn Nursing (e.g., Perinatal Nursing, Pediatric Advanced Life Support [PALS], etc.); Demonstrated ability to work with families; Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize; Good team player; Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position; Satisfactory employment and attendance record required
