Lead Process Engineering Rotor Machining.

Establish detailed manufacturing processes by utilizing own experience and coordination with lead factories for implementing their best processes and practices. Drive the culture of continuous improvement and take lean initiatives. Drive and coordinate the execution of Machine Shop operations, machining processes related to machining wing to wing with (SQDC). Zero deviation in safety and quality. Ensure alignment of different stakeholders to achieve OTD and shop utilization.

Responsibilities

Define and finalize manufacturing processes in the form of MOPs & SOPs for every component of rotary part before production starts; Work out optimum handbook hours in detail for every project; Envisage requirements of project tools, accessories, jigs, fixtures and tackles and drive procurement for timely availability; Coordinate and support Shop Planner for project scheduling and outsourcing of process activities; Identify and resolve technical issues prior to and during production; Coordinate with engineering for NCR disposition and implement corrective actions in future jobs; Record lessons learnt and process improvements and sustain them through continuous updating of manufacturing processes; Use quality and lean tools such as VSM, PFMEA, 8D and 5S; Empower and support shop engineers for process change suggestions and implementation; Drive new product qualification and prepare related documentation; Continuously improve manufacturing processes; Use technical experience and analytical thinking to arrive at decisions; Act as a resource for less experienced colleagues and build team consensus within the field; Drive and coordinate execution of Machine Shop operations with zero deviation in safety and quality; Ensure alignment of stakeholders to achieve on-time delivery (OTD) and shop utilization

Requirements

Excellent process engineering capabilities and analytical skills; Thorough knowledge of heavy machining and assembly processes; Key manufacturing processes: CNC turning, milling, boring, tooling, job set up and inspection/quality methods; Thorough understanding of engineering drawings, standards and specifications; Strong EHS & quality focus; Knowledge of jig & fixture and cutting tools; Basic knowledge of SAP & CATIA software; Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; Strong oral and written communication skills; Ability to identify and implement cost reduction strategies based on process improvements; Ability to develop credibility with employees, manager and peers; High attention to detail and accuracy, and anticipation of future risks; Vendor development skills for new products and processes; Demonstrated integrity and high ethical values; Resolves internal issues quickly to meet customer expectations; Ability to produce alternative approaches when raising a problem or challenge; Ability to work in cross-functional teams; Ability to perform feasibility checks and hours estimation for upcoming projects; BE/BTech/Diploma in Mechanical or Production, minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including minimum 5 years of core experience in process/method of heavy machining and assembly
