Lead SAP FICO Inhouse Consultant (m/f/x)

As Lead SAP FICO Inhouse Consultant, you are the senior technical authority on our core financial system. You own how solutions are designed and built in S/4HANA: you make the system design decisions, technically validate changes before they reach production, and quality-gate the work of our implementation partners. You work alongside a Product Manager who owns what we build and a FICO Consultant who owns day-to-day operations. Your job is depth, architecture, and raising the technical bar of the whole team.

Responsibilities

Act as technical escalation point for our financial core; Own solution design and system architecture for the finance platform (design solutions in S/4HANA, decide build-vs-configure-vs-standard, validate changes before production); Lead FICO workstreams in SAP transformation from redesigning Record-to-Report and Controlling to quality-gating deliverables from external implementation partner; Continuously monitor and improve existing financial workflows, ensuring alignment with SAP Global Standards and 'Clean Core' principles; Mentor and grow FICO consultants, review work, develop skills, build runbooks and best practices; Support design of modern integrations using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP); Challenge the status quo and proactively look for configuration, tools or automation solutions that save time and enhance customer experience

Requirements

8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO (GL, AP/AR, AA, CO) in SAP S4H Private Cloud; Solid knowledge of SAP REFX; Understanding of integration points with other modules (eg. MM, SD, Subscription Billing); Proven experience designing RICEFW items, including interface design in SAP Integration Suites (CPI, BTP); Solid Accounting background (IFRS and HGB); Proven experience steering or quality-gating external consultants / system integrators; Obsessed with SAP Standards and shy away from custom solutions in order to keep the system maintainable; Experience in full-cycle implementations or major roll-outs; Ability to move between deep technical tasks and high-level project management; Proactive and decisive; Experience mentoring or technically leading other consultants; Excellent communication and collaboration skills; Highly analytical and data-driven; Experience in product development and Agile methodologies; Fluent in English

Nice to have

SAP Treasury; BCM; Understanding of adjacent systems in the data chain (DWH, automation tools)
