Lead Technical Accountant

We are seeking a Lead Technical Accountant to join our Client's Accounting Policy team which analyzes and resolves complex non-routine accounting and reporting issues.

Responsibilities

Manage, review, analyse and approve complex non-routine transactions and projects. Examples include revenue recognition, leases, sale / leaseback, derivatives, guarantees and indemnifications, exit and disposal activities, foreign currency matters, business combinations and divestitures, impairments, etc.; Engage with external audit partners to review and clear technical accounting matters.; Collaborate with multiple functions and departments including Treasury, Tax, Legal, FP&A, Business controllers to ensure accurate financial accounting and reporting.; Analyze new accounting guidance from the FASB, SEC and other regulatory bodies, including evaluating the impact of new guidance on the Company’s financial statements and implementing new accounting standards, as required.; Assist in the preparation and review of all SEC filings, including annual and quarterly reports and other required form filings to ensure accuracy of data presented.; Provide guidance and updates to key company personnel including CEO, CFO, and Corporate Controller

Requirements

BS Accounting/Finance (MBA a plus); Previous experience working in a manager type role is strongly preferred; CPA required; Thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC Reporting; Knowledge of IFRS a plus; 7+ years of experience with industry in related role; Strong oral and written skills; Self-directed and accountable; Experience with M&A a plus; Strong analytical skills; Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks; Works well in teams with an ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
