Legal Engineer, APAC

Ivo builds AI products that help companies such as Meta, Uber, IBM, Intel, DoorDash, Mitsubishi Electric, and Coinbase solve their most difficult contracting problems. The role involves engaging with law firms and in-house legal teams, becoming a trusted advisor on how Ivo's solutions can enhance their effectiveness, demonstrating the value of the product, and guiding them in its successful implementation. The role is described as a fit for lawyers who want to break into tech and work in a dynamic, sales enablement and customer-facing role.

Responsibilities

Being a champion of the product and advocating for Ivo at sales calls, customer onboarding calls, demos, webinars, events and conferences; Leading product demonstrations tailored to in-house legal teams, asking questions to validate how Ivo can add value and showcasing relevant features and benefits; Acting as a close and trusted advisor to customers to help them integrate Ivo into their workflows and adopt best-in-class practices for scaling AI; Implementing (and overseeing the implementation of) 'Playbooks' for prospects derived from their precedents, templates, and historical agreements; Working closely with software engineers to improve model outputs and with designers to improve UX/UI; Acting as the 'Voice of the Customer' to help the sales team develop strategies and synthesize customer feedback for the product team through a legal lens; Engaging with law firms and in-house legal teams to drive Ivo's growth

Requirements

Legal background, lawyer with a legal background; 2+ years of legal experience, either at a law firm or in-house legal team; Outstanding presentation skills to both legal and executive audiences, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos

Nice to have

Sales or customer-facing experience, including legal business development and/or secondment; Experience directly managing law firm client matters and client relationships; Relentlessly resourceful; Strong internal sense of urgency; 'Do what it takes' attitude; Excited about building an early-stage company
