Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Registered Nurse (RN)

Solaris HealthCare Coconut Creek is now hiring. We are looking for caring individuals to provide outstanding care to our residents each and every day. Position Summary: Provides nursing care within scope of practice to insure resident’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Responsibilities

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to insure resident’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines; Administers medications and treatments timely according to facility policy; Receives, transcribes, and carries out physician orders as allowed by Nurse Practice Act; Charts progress notes in an informative, factual manner; Identifies and reports changes in condition to supervisor, physician and family; Conducts frequent rounds to evaluate effectiveness of care delivery; Coordinates resident’s rehabilitation program with therapies; Plans nursing interventions for each resident based on their individual needs and monitors the implementation; Counts narcotics at the beginning and completion of each shift; Conducts family and resident education

Requirements

Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in this state; CPR Certified; Florida AHCA Clearinghouse background screening

Nice to have

One year prior nursing experience preferred
