We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Associate to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is an emerging employment litigator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their caseload, and is eager to develop their litigation skills alongside experienced practitioners. This is a hybrid position offering flexibility while maintaining strong team collaboration.

Responsibilities

Manage an active docket of employment litigation matters from inception through resolution; Conduct and defend depositions, including witness preparation and examination; Appear in court, administrative hearings, and mediation proceedings; Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence; Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and case strategy summaries; Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to advance client matters; Communicate directly with clients to provide case updates and gather information; Monitor deadlines and ensure timely compliance with court and agency schedules

Requirements

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school; Active admission to the California State Bar in good standing; 1–2 years of experience in employment litigation (plaintiff, defense, or government); Demonstrated experience with court appearances and/or depositions; Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills; Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities; Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative and professional approach; Proficiency with legal research platforms (Westlaw, Lexis) and case management software
