Loader Operator

This position is responsible for the loading of haul trucks in a safe, efficient, and acceptable manner while following all company quality guidelines and work procedures. The position is also responsible for the safety, upkeep, and cleanliness of the load out areas.

Responsibilities

Loading of haul trucks in a safe, efficient, and acceptable manner; Responsible for safety, upkeep, and cleanliness of the load out areas; Report pre-shift equipment inspections to Mine Foreman; Report unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately; Lubricate loader as required; Maintain fluid level in loader; Assist maintenance team members as directed; Attend safety meetings; Enforce all company, local, state and federal safety policies and procedures; Maintain Company and Federal House Keeping Standards; Implement all elements of the quality manual; Maintain validity of documentation and procedures; Perform back-up duties for other Loader Operators; Ensure SQF workplace and follow regulatory compliance with Federal FDA Food Modernization Safety Act; Support Environmental Health and Safety and SQF initiatives; Participate in audits; Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED Equivalent, or demonstrated skills or ability; Minimum one year of previous heavy manufacturing and/or mining experience; Must be able to multiple tasks with a strong sense of urgency to meet the customer needs; Must be able to work well within a team environment and take instructions from management and co-workers; Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently; Must possess basic reading and math skills; Must have good written and verbal communicate skills; Must possess strong record of attendance reliability; Must be safety oriented with the ability to work well within a team environment; Must be capable of performing the essential job duties required of this job; Must have industrial background with good troubleshooting skills; Knowledgeable of current environmental regulations and practices as they relate to the industry; Must be able to work shift work, seven days a week including holidays and be flexible to schedule changes, including overtime; Effectively communicate and interact with supervisors, managers, and peers; Must be physically able to perform work assigned; Must be physically capable of accessing all plant locations; Access all areas within a site which could include heights of 120 feet, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels; Will be working at times in covered environment but mainly in a mining environment; Ability to consistently lift over 50 pounds as needed

Nice to have

Technical training or AA degree in technical related field; Valid CDL Class A or Class B license; Previous heavy equipment experience; 2-4 years of experience
