Responsibilities

Provide expert care for patients with injuries and disorders affecting bones, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments and nerves; Conduct a wide range of orthopedic surgeries, including fracture repair, joint replacement, arthroscopy and soft tissue repair; Provide emergency care for traumatic injuries requiring immediate surgical intervention; Manage conditions through non-invasive techniques, such as medication or physical therapy, when appropriate; Provide patient education about conditions, treatment options and post-care management strategies; Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans; Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.

Requirements

Proficient in performing a variety of both minimally invasive and complex orthopedic procedures; Ability to assess and diagnose musculoskeletal issues accurately and develop appropriate treatment plans; Capability to make quick, informed decisions during surgery and in emergency situations; Strong communication skills to explain complex medical information to patients; Excellent manual dexterity and precision; Flexibility to adapt to new work environments and different medical teams; Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school; Residency training program in orthopedic surgery accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA); Board certification in orthopedic surgery from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS); Active and unrestricted medical license in Oregon; At least one year of experience providing care in a clinical setting
