Maintenance Supervisor (Ironworks)

The Neighborhood Service Manager is responsible for all physical operations of the Neighborhood, particularly the preservation and maintenance of the property.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all physical operations of the Neighborhood, particularly the preservation and maintenance of the property; Hire, train, and mentor staff, resolve problems, and look out for the best interest of the Neighborhood; Responsible for budget through cost-effective management of maintenance functions; In charge of ongoing safety training, capital projects, managing vendors and contractors, and maintaining inventory; Uphold standards, be a knowledge holder of company policies and an example of compliance with rules and regulations for safe and effective operation

Requirements

Minimum of five years' experience and/or training in apartment maintenance; Minimum of two years supervisory experience; Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, Neighbors, and the general public; Ready to help when needed and on-call to help team and Neighborhood; High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Minimum of three certificates from related institutions reflecting completion of maintenance related courses, such as BOMA, IREM and/or vocational programs; Working knowledge of federal, state and local governing laws; Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating manuals and maintenance instructions; Physical requirements include standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity; Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
