Material Handler 1

The Material Handler I is focused on moving material including glass and/or metal from one position/location to another to expedite the product throughout the plant. To include on/off-loading of the product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates and reports to the Production Supervisor.

Responsibilities

Moving material including glass and/or metal from one position/location to another to expedite the product throughout the plant; on/off-loading of the product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates; reporting to the Production Supervisor; performing work as assigned by Supervisor; attaching appropriate labels and tags to products and packages; reading and interpreting basic mathematical measurements while effectively using a tape measure; adhering to quality standards provided to customers (internal/external)

Requirements

Attention to detail (safety, quality, efficiency); strong work ethic/reliability; problem solver; ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines; ability to work overtime when required; prior work experience performed inside a production/manufacturing environment; ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted; ability to stand and move around on your feet for 8-10 hours per day on a concrete floor; ability to withstand noise levels in the work environment that can be moderate to high; prior work history in a plant facility that is subject to the same climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.)
