Medical Writer

Our MWs play a fundamental role in our business by contributing to day-to-day project delivery within an account to create outstanding medical content across a variety of therapy areas. This position is ideal for a proactive communicator with a passion for science, a keen interest in AI, and a keen eye for detail who is looking to develop their medical writing career further.

Responsibilities

Contribute to day-to-day project delivery within an account; Create outstanding medical content across a variety of therapy areas; Effectively analyze and interpret scientific data; Understand the medical affairs and commercial spaces within which clients work; Review literature and competitive information; Confidently and efficiently use AI tools to support assigned tasks; Take responsibility for day-to-day delivery of scientific content under supervision; Adapt writing style to suit different audiences; Structure and write commercially focused or complicated materials; Ensure all work is referenced appropriately and tagged appropriately; Adhere to the ABPI code of conduct; Attend on-site events and interact with clients; Liaise with clients for content development on straightforward projects; Adhere to project schedules, briefs, and budgets; Train and mentor junior writers

Requirements

Strong scientific background with a degree in a scientific or medical discipline; Passion for and profound understanding of healthcare, science, medicine, and the pharmaceutical industry; Keen interest in AI technologies; Personable, articulate, and keen eye for detail; Previous experience as a (junior) medical writer at an agency or within a pharmaceutical organization
