Millwright - Maintenance Technician

Currently, we are seeking a qualified Millwright / Maintenance Technician to work collaboratively with our sawmill in Oroville, California.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair all mechanical parts and machinery in a manufacturing facility; Troubleshoot, install, replace, and repair machines and equipment including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; Dismantle machinery and equipment, locate cause of malfunctioning or mechanical breakdown, replace parts from stock or fabricate replacement parts as needed; Fabricate machine components for repairs and improvements of mechanical devices; Effectively conduct and assess diagnostic tests to ensure optimum system functionality; Assemble, install, and proactively maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment for efficient operation; Operate arc welder, cutting torch, hand tools, forklift, and welding truck; Fabricate, weld, mill, and lathe as needed; Perform general maintenance in a safe and efficient manner and maintain a clean work area; Work may consist of various shifts and overtime including weekends and holidays during busy production times

Requirements

2 years' recent verifiable related sawmill/heavy industrial work history or equivalent education; Working experience machining on manual mill and lathe; Proficient in welding, cutting, and using hand tools for repairs; Working knowledge of hydraulics, pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and bearings; Ability to recognize, report, and repair mechanical defects

Nice to have

Industrial mill maintenance experience; Boom truck and crane operation experience
