Neuro Interventional Radiologic Technologist I

This specialty certified technologist assists in the performance of diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic radiologic and ultrasonic guided imaging procedures. This technologist is highly trained in working in surgical type work environments and is specifically trained to work in a sterile field.

Responsibilities

Assists in the performance of diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic radiologic and ultrasonic guided imaging procedures; Maintains competence in assisting during physician supervised procedures with proper sterile preparation; Ensures proper documentation of the use of contrast material and patient charges; Performs radiologic diagnostic imaging procedures incorporating access techniques for vascular, spinal, neurological and general locations; Maintains required state and national licensure, certification for life support response and IV competence; Participates in regular on-call responsibilities; Participates in patient safety protocols including time out procedures and post procedure huddles

Requirements

High School Graduate; Basic Life Support Heartsaver (BLS HS) - American Heart Association; Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) - Kansas Board of Healing Arts

Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology; Associates Degree Cardiovascular Technology; Associates Degree Vascular Technology; Associates Degree Healthcare Related Field; Bachelors Degree Healthcare Related Field; 1 or more years Previous Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, or Electrophysiology Lab; Second language preferred
