Night Shift Production Supervisor

This position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of a fabrication team in a safe and efficient manner to achieve quality standards, productivity goals, and cost objectives, while limiting back-orders and shortages. This position will supervise the 2nd shift which runs Monday-Friday with typical work schedule 7:00pm – 5:30am. Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the business, and may include Saturdays during peak production times.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day supervision of a fabrication team in a safe and efficient manner to achieve quality standards, productivity goals, and cost objectives; Limit back-orders and shortages; Manage staffing, orientation, training, and team member development; Develop people, improve processes, reduce costs, monitor and improve quality, deliver superior customer service, and ensure on-time delivery; Appropriately staff and schedule departmental personnel to meet manufacturing requirements while minimizing costs; Plan departmental operations by establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products; Develop and/or revise standard operational and working practices, and observe workers to ensure compliance; Ensure plant staff (Leads) enforce company policies, procedures, plant-wide safety rules, and employee rules of conduct; Interview, hire, train, terminate, discipline, and coach employees; Motivate employees to achieve results

Requirements

Three-plus years in a manufacturing leadership role with previous multi-line responsibility; Proficient in the MS Office Suite; Must be an effective communicator, capable of teaching and generating results while enhancing the work environment and supporting the company philosophy; Prior experience in improving operations (UPEH, reduced costs, etc.); Strong background in LEAN process improvement principles; Process management experience
