Nurse Manager- Inpatient Pediatrics

The Nurse Manager is accountable for the overall operations of the unit. Is responsible on a continual basis for the quality of patient care, customer (external and internal) service, and cost-efficient operation of the unit. Supports the Hospital mission and strategic plan, budgeting and resource allocation, organizational policy and overall management plan of the Department of Nursing.

Responsibilities

Accountable for overall operations of the unit; Quality of patient care and customer service; Cost-efficient operation of the unit; Supports Hospital mission and strategic plan, budgeting and resource allocation, organizational policy and management plan; Achieve business and organization goals; Administer corrective action; Analyze, report, and recommend strategies to improve quality and satisfaction; Create and manage unit budget; Identify problems and provide solutions; Interact professionally with conflict resolution; Maintain presence on unit; Employee selection, career development, succession planning, training; Role model professional nursing practice; Mentor staff; Supervise and manage staff performance and technical competencies

Requirements

High School Graduate; Bachelor Degree Nursing; Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA); Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Single State - State Board of Nursing; Basic Life Support Heartsaver (BLS HS) (Non-Clinical) - American Heart Association (AHA) or obtained within 14 days

Nice to have

Master Degree Nursing; Minimum of 2 years of management experience; Professional Nursing Certificataion
