Operations Support

The Facility Technician is a part-time, event-based position responsible for supporting the maintenance, general cleaning, and setup and breakdown of event spaces at SNHU Arena. This role plays a key part in ensuring the arena remains safe, operational, and event-ready at all times. The Facility Technician assists with the upkeep and reliable operation of the building, grounds, and event infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, gates, fencing, doors, plumbing fixtures, lighting, and irrigation systems; Conduct safety inspections and respond promptly to maintenance requests; Repair or replace worn surfaces including flooring, drywall, fencing, and ceiling tiles; Perform minor carpentry, painting, wall patching, plumbing repairs, re-lamping, and basic electrical repairs; Troubleshoot facility maintenance issues and complete repairs as needed; Support event setup and breakdown, including seating configurations, room setups, signage placement, and power drops; Maintain cleanliness and functionality of shared spaces including restrooms, suites, concourses, and walkways; Assist with snow removal, including shoveling, spreading materials, and snowblowing; Perform landscaping and lawn care duties; Follow all safety policies and personal protective equipment requirements; Participate in on-call, weekend, holiday, and event coverage as assigned

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems; Ability to operate maintenance equipment and power tools safely; Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced event environment; Ability to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm
