PA - Outpatient - Primary Care - FT - Days - MPC - East Hollywood

Functions as a health care provider in a clinic setting providing evidence based care, including but not limited to, diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative health care under the general supervision of a physician. Location: Memorial Primary Care East Hollywood. Shift: Primarily for office workers - not eligible for shift differential. This job requires privileging and credentialing.

Responsibilities

Executes diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as indicated; Organizes and presents historical and physical data, evaluations and recommendations to the healthcare team; Obtains complete medical histories and performs comprehensive and focused physical examinations; Practices within a multidisciplinary healthcare team providing diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative healthcare management; Maintains complete and accurate records of patient contacts in person, virtually or by telephone; Instructs and counsels patients on health promotion and/or health maintenance; Provides follow-up and health maintenance care based on accepted standards of care and best practice

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program (required); BLS certification (American Heart Association e-card, AHA RQI e-card, AHA non-ecard, or Red Cross); Physician Assistant License (State of Florida); Must be able to work with minimal supervision; Must be able to work in a stressful environment; Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment; No prior work experience required

Nice to have

Master's degree in PA studies or Medical Sciences; NCCPA certification; ATLS, ACLS or PALS (may be required depending on area of practice)
