Patient Registration Rep - Emergency Room

This position is in our Emergency room in Brownstown, which is a fast-paced environment. Teamwork and communication are imperative in this role.

This position requires every other weekend and rotating Holidays.

The shift for this position is 7p-330a, can included midnight (1030p-7a) coverage if needed,

This is a part time position and you will work around 20 hours per week.

You will handle patient registration, insurance verification, and cash collections, while advocating for patient needs. Responsibilities

Follow standard operating procedures for patient registration, including face-to-face check-in and preregistration.; Confirm insurance eligibility and handle cash collections.; Update patient registration and insurance information.; Respond to inquiries from callers and customers, advocating on their behalf.; Provide efficient and effective customer relationship management, instilling loyalty and anticipating needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.; Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.; Ability to meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards, and behaviors.

Nice to have

One (1) year of experience related to patient admitting, registration, and/or insurance eligibility and verification in a hospital or medical office setting.; EPIC training/experience and ICD-10 medical terminology experience.
