People Operations Manager - Spanish Market 🇪🇸

As a People Operations Manager, you will be joining the People Operations team, which consists of 19 members. Your primary goal is to contribute to Qonto's success by delivering an exceptional employee experience to all our Qonto team members - with a strong focus on our Spanish talents. You will be a key figure for our Barcelona office, acting as the on-site representative of the People team and the go-to presence for Qontoers and managers locally.

Responsibilities

Be the key on-site representative for the People team in Barcelona, ensuring Qontoers and managers have a trusted local point of contact for all HR matters; ensure seamless onboarding and offboarding process for employees, address day-to-day HR queries, ensure compliance with HR rules and standards, maintain accurate people data in HR systems (Workday); serve as the go-to expert for human resources policies, procedures, and contracts, participate in creation of standardised HR practices for the Spanish office; advise on local legal practices and employment regulations in Spain, act as a reference point for the HRBP team; contribute to enhancing working methods and HR policies, implement parenthood policies, support HRIS improvement, oversee HR cycles such as Progress reviews; in charge of data compliance, prepare payroll inputs for designated population; champion HR lifecycle topics of employees by partnering with an amazing team and being a referent on your perimeter

Requirements

8+ years of experience as a People Operations, HR specialist or similar HR generalist role; good knowledge of HR & legal topics; hands-on, able to multitask and prioritize daily workload, accurate and rigorous; comfortable operating with strong autonomy, making sound judgment calls and being the trusted local reference without constant oversight; able to build strong relationships with the team based on confidentiality and trust; outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; speaks both Spanish and English fluently; experience in designing and implementing HR policies in a scale-up; hands-on in the digitalization of HR/launching tools in a FinTech Company; agility or ability to adapt constantly to scale in HR whilst keeping a high-quality level of HR standards
