Phlebotomist ICC Part time

The Clinical Support Tech is responsible for providing accurate, timely, and effective ancillary support in the Chemistry department of the clinical laboratory.

Responsibilities

Provide accurate, timely, and effective ancillary support in the Chemistry department of the clinical laboratory; Phone coverage; Maintain supply inventories, place inventory orders, log in and rotate reagent inventory; Locate and transport specimens; Computer activities; Respond to customer requests; Help prioritize, identify problems and assist in resolving problems; Demonstrate I-CARE values (integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and Excellence); Provide accurate information and timely updates to patients and customers; Address questions and concerns promptly; Work in partnership with laboratory personnel to manage the flow of specimens, including finding missing specimens, add-ons, archiving, and transporting; Take physical inventory of laboratory reagent and supplies, unload, unpack, and put away supplies and reagent once delivered; Rotate existing inventory and record reagent lot numbers according to department protocols; Meet documentation standards and provide timely, accurate, complete and legible documentation; Review QC/QA and maintenance records to assure completeness and identify areas of concern; Report findings to supervisor or manager; Answer department phone and respond to customer calls in a professional and courteous manner; Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Upon hire, must provide hard copy of high school diploma or equivalency and/or transcripts; Must provide proof of Education as stated in the CLIA guidelines
