Pool Server - PT

Restaurant Servers will greet and serve guests in accordance with South Seas standards of food and beverage quality, presentation, and sanitation, and in a gracious and professional manner.

Responsibilities

Perform direct communication and hospitality procedures with all guests daily; Pre-shifts with fellow staff and management for all restaurant operations; Properly set all tables and stations; follow appropriate set-up checklist; take guest orders; Serve all food and beverage items in a timely manner; Proper treatment and storage of food and company equipment; Complete daily shift operation report; Communicate all special guest requests to kitchen; Detail every table and menu before each meal period; Assist with bussing tables 'pre-bussing'; Must have understanding on how to read and execute a Restaurant BEO form; Possess thorough food, wine and cocktail menu knowledge; Exercise a positive attitude and warm hospitality image; Follow associate schedule and work assignments; Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

Valid driver's license; Motor vehicle background check will be completed; Must be 18 years old or older to hold this role, serving/selling alcohol in state of FL; Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations - can receive with South Seas); Food Handlers Certification (must comply with State regulations - can receive with South Seas); Fluent in English language, must be able to convey information and ideas clearly; Must be able to comprehend reading materials, speak, read and write English; Must be a great multitasker; Must show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity; Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment; Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure; Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns or issues raised by coworkers and/or guests; Teamwork is essential and critical in this role; Must maintain impeccable standards of appearance and grooming; Must maintain proper associate uniform standards and footwear which is slip resistant, enclosed toe and heel; Must be able to stand, walk, bend and stoop for prolonged periods of time; Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds; Must be able to work in different types of extreme weather, including high temperatures; Position will be required to work indoors and outside.

Nice to have

High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field (preferred); 6 months experience with a background with serving, basic bartending, cashiering (a plus); Other languages valuable.
