Project Manager

The Project Manager I is a mid-level project management position responsible for overseeing projects from planning through completion and ensuring client satisfaction by delivering unparalleled service. Provides overall project management support for several small to medium projects or one large project supporting senior project management.

Responsibilities

Plan and organize a project under the direction of a Senior Project Manager and/or Division Manager; Supervise and direct project activities, including assigning tasks to Assistant Project Managers; Provide project management expertise to establish initial client contact, including assessment of scope of work, schedule, and resources; Prepare a complete estimate for the selected project with a detailed review of plans, specifications, and bid form; Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate guidelines; Supervise and negotiate all change orders and change quotations; Monitor construction activities with the onsite Foreman and Area Superintendent to keep the project on schedule and within budget; Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures; Prepare monthly costing reports; Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses); Review documentation prepared by Assistant Project Managers before submission; Represent the company in project meetings

Requirements

Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance; Effective performance management skills; Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures; Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary; Work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude; Oral and written communication skills as required for the position; Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player; Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, vendors, clients, and others; Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry in a Project Management role; Can be a combination of training, education, and relevant work experience

Nice to have

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or other related discipline; Experience with Accubid and Oracle
