Project Manager V - Healthcare

This role is a high level specialist, focused on providing project management within an office or market and team leadership, mentoring our people, advancing the quality of our work, integrating our range of design services, managing our processes, and delivering solid financial performance. Your initial assignment will be to provide project management for the healthcare planning team and planning stages of a 2.0+ million square foot healthcare facility at Mayo Clinic's campus in Rochester, MN. Due to the scale of the project for your initial assignment, you will collaborate with a team of Project Managers and Leaders.

Responsibilities

Lead, develop and nurture successful partnering relationships with clients; Develop and maintain positive client relations throughout the project; Communicate design, planning, construction, and other issues to clients in a clear and compelling way; Develop a partnering relationship with the client early in an engagement; Ensure appropriate client and internal communication including written project documentation; Play a lead role in key meetings and presentations; Participate in Business Development activity; Understand contractual obligations to the client and project; Proactively identify and obtain approvals for additions to scope of work; Lead project teams to develop project goals and work plans; Facilitate development, evolution and management of work plan, budget, and schedule; Manage design and documentation process and implementation during construction; Maintain project record; Accountable for risk mitigation and compliance; Develop risk management plan; Collaborate effectively with all team members; Implement CannonDesign Method; Manage and coordinate workload of team; Provide constructive feedback and mentoring; Be proactive resource to project teams; Meet with project team members regularly; Ensure statutory requirements achieved; Accountable for QA/QC process; Coordinate with Project Architect and Quality leader; Participate in negotiating contract; Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related degree; Minimum of 10 years related experience in project management roles; Must have 5 years of experience working on healthcare projects; Strong knowledge of healthcare industry processes and terms; Capability of performing in a project management role for single or multiple projects; Advanced knowledge in discipline; Business acumen; Strong client leadership skills; Strong project team management skills, capable of managing single or multiple projects; Capability of leading and mentoring less experienced staff; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Familiarity with Revit, Microsoft Office, MS Project, Deltek Vision, Bluebeam and other data management software; Professional business attire required for client meetings; Weekly onsite presence required
