Public Housing Supervisor V

Plans, organizes, directs and coordinates the operations of a public housing project or projects. This includes planning, organizing and coordination of project operations; investigating tenant complaints and difficulties, fostering and establishing working relationships with community groups and other agencies for the benefit of the residents and the Hawaii Public Housing Authority; developing tenant recreation and social activities; inspecting property to ascertain the need for repairs; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Legal Authorization to Work Requirement: The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.; Basic Education: A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.; Specialized Experience: Two and one-half years of professional experience in progressively responsible work in housing projects or real property management, including activities such as development and implementation of local policies, supervision and training of personnel, budgetary control, rental and occupancy activities, and community and tenant relations.; Supervisory or Staff Experience: One year of professional experience in planning, organizing, scheduling, and directing the work of others, or as a staff specialist in public housing or real property management.; Substitutions Allowed: Relevant substitutions as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements, will apply.
