Radiography Technologist - FT - Evenings - $20K Sign on Bonus - MRH

Performs various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities

Prepares equipment and supplies; Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters; Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment; Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary; When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice; Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate; Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department; Reviews patient history and physician's orders; Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation; Charges appropriately for all supplies used for procedure and utilizes appropriate exam codes; Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s); Analyzes images and identifies issues with the quality of images; Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure if clinically appropriate

Requirements

Accredited Program: Radiology (Required); ARRT_American Registry of Radiology Tech (ARRT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association; BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association; BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential; BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross; Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT LICENSE) - State of Florida; Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision; Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action; No prior work experience required; Must possess an active Radiography Certificate from the State of Florida and must take the ARRT(R) examination; If hired to support Women Imaging: Candidate must obtain (M) Certification within 1 year; Candidate must be flexible to travel to all MHS Women’s Imaging Centers; Competencies: ACCOUNTABILITY; ACCURACY & QUALITY; ADMINISTRATION OF CONTRAST MEDIA; CUSTOMER SERVICE; IMAGE PRODUCTION, ANALYSIS AND ARCHIVAL; PATIENT AND FAMILY CENTERED CARE; PATIENT ASSESSMENT AND CARE; PATIENT POSITIONING AND PROCEDURES; RADIATION PROTECTION; RESPONDING TO CHANGE; STANDARDS OF BEHAVIOR
