Recreation Attendant - Bayview Pool Complex

The Recreation Attendant will be tasked with working in within the Bayview Pool Complex at the north end of South Seas.

Responsibilities

Monitors day-to-day operations of the Resort Pool Complex and beach operations/services; Oversees cabana rental programs; Manages guest issues as they pertain to pool areas, equipment or pool malfunctions reported to respective departments to ensure timely repairs; Comfortable being tasked to work on the waterslides; Reports deficiencies to superiors; Monitors inventory of cabana supplies and places orders accordingly; Assists with monitoring inventory of pool towels, pool lounge chairs and pool umbrellas; Assists with monitoring inventory of beach towels, beach lounge chairs and beach umbrellas; Keeps all areas neat, clean and in good repair at all times including work vehicles; Enforces safety and operating procedures and provides for maintenance needs in compliance with health and safety standards; Provides great public relations and is knowledgeable of resort happenings; Involved with hurricane preparedness and other extreme weather conditions monitored daily; Assists in development, recommendation and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards for the resort; Attends company meetings whenever necessary; Assists and advises where needed with all recreational needs throughout the department that includes pool, beach, daily activities, special events and group events

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; Must have a valid driver's license; Motor vehicle background check will be completed; Fluent in English language, must be able to convey information and ideas clearly; Must be a great multitasker; Must show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity; Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment; Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure; Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns or issues raised by coworkers and/or guests; Teamwork is essential and critical in this role; Must be able to stand, walk, bend and stoop for prolonged periods; Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds; Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment; Must be able to work in different types of weather sometimes extreme, including high temperatures and humidity; Must be available to work 40 hours per week, flexible schedule, including weekends and/or holidays
