Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Intermediate Care

6 Tower is a Cardiothoracic and Vascular Intermediate Care Post-Surgical unit that provides comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring less monitoring than ICU, but more than a Medical-Surgical unit. Nurses on 6T care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures, manage drains, tubes, and invasive lines, interpret cardiac rhythms, and initiate and monitor cardiac drips. Full-time days, 0700-1900 (36 hours/week), with weekend requirements.

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process; Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures; Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skilled communication; Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing; At least 6 months of RN experience (not for new grads); Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association; Strong critical thinking skills and sound clinical judgment; Thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment; Collaborates as an active member of the interdisciplinary care team; Committed to ongoing personal and professional growth
