Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac/Neuro Med/Surg

Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Neuro Unit at Aurora Medical Center Grafton in Grafton, WI. MS2 Cardiac/Neuro is an 18-bed unit with a primary focus on cardiac patients including CHF, pre/post cardiac catheterizations, pacemakers, ablations, pre/post open heart surgery, and cardiac arrhythmias. This unit also supports the stroke program, providing care to patients with neurological symptoms, stroke, and TIA.

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures; Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skilled communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing; Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association; National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required within 6 months; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire; Ability to safely lift up to 35 pounds and perform patient handling tasks including pushing/pulling up to 30 pounds and assisting with 150-pound sliding transfers
