Registered Nurse RN NICU Night Shift

Nurse position in the Neonatal ICU (NICU) at Banner North Colorado Medical Center, Greeley, Colorado. Night shift position working three 12-hour shifts per week, with a rotating weekend requirement every third weekend. The position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. Estimated pay range: $36.14 - $60.23 per hour.

Responsibilities

Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs; Formulates and revises plan of care in collaboration with patient, family and multidisciplinary team; Implements plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision; Evaluates patient and family response to care and teaching; Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record; Provides care based on best evidence available and may participate in research activities; Participates in unit or facility shared leadership and in education and orientation of personnel, patients, students, families and visitors; Promotes growth of others through precepting and mentoring when appropriate; Interacts with staff, physicians, patients, families and external contacts regarding patient health care

Requirements

Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice; BLS certification is required; Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations

Nice to have

Bachelor's degree preferred; Professional certification preferred; Experience in the clinical area for which the candidate is applying is desired; Additional related education and/or experience preferred
