Registered Nurse RN Oncology Float Per Diem

Banner Staffing Services (BSS) offers Registry/Per Diem opportunities within Banner Health, utilized as needed within our facilities. As a Registered Nurse for Oncology Ambulatory, you'll work alongside physicians and healthcare staff dedicated to providing a positive patient experience. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week to cover LOA. Registry/Per Diem positions do not have guaranteed hours and no medical benefits package is offered. The position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice.

Responsibilities

Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs; Review patient history and physical with patient/family; Report abnormal diagnostic and laboratory results to physicians and other appropriate caregivers; Formulate and revise plan of care in collaboration with patient, family and multidisciplinary team; Implement plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of the health care team; Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching; Document assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record; Collaborate with physicians and specialists to create a treatment plan for each patient; Provide evidence-based care and participate in unit or facility shared leadership; Precept and mentor when appropriate; Interact with staff, physicians, patients, families and external contacts regarding patient health care; May supervise staff and workflow of the department in some roles

Requirements

Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice; BLS certification required; Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice; Experience in the clinical area for which applying is desired; Maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations; Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting, including work in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area; Banner Registry and Travel physician practice positions require a minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse in a physician practice or acute care setting; Completion of post-offer Occupational Health physical assessment, drug screen and background check (employment, criminal and education)
