Registered Nurse (RN) - OR/Sedation

Registered Nurse supporting the OR and providing sedation to cataract surgery patients; will also learn to circulate all eye procedures performed at the West Side Surgery Center. The West Side Surgery Center is an outpatient surgery center (ophthalmic day surgery) with strong teamwork, compassionate patient care, active supervisor involvement, and high patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Support the OR and provide sedation to cataract surgery patients; Learn to circulate all eye procedures performed at the West Side Surgery Center; Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures; Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing; Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
