REHABILITATION AIDE

Under the direct supervision of licensed clinical staff, assists the therapists in routine tasks for therapeutic treatment of patients. Assists the department supervisor/manager in coordinating the overall department’s function and maintenance.

Responsibilities

Assists the therapists in routine tasks for therapeutic treatment of patients; Assists the department supervisor/manager in coordinating the overall department’s function and maintenance; Performs clerical duties including scheduling, answering phones, calling patients, inventory, photocopying, filing, medicare and CPM tracking, data collection, mail and faxes; Assists in maintenance of department’s overall physical environment and infection control including cleaning equipment, temperature monitoring, pool chemistry, linen supply, area inspections; Provides treatment to assigned patients as appropriate under direct supervision of clinical staff; Completes all documentation of services per department standards; Enters daily charges in a timely and accurate manner according to department standards; Embraces technological solutions to work processes and practices

Requirements

Previous coursework, participation in work or volunteer experience in the area of health, fitness or athletics required; Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) (Including courses offered through SSH)

Nice to have

High School diploma/GED; One (1) year healthcare-related experience; Previous rehabilitation experience
