Rehabilitation Consultant

Acumen (part of the APM Group) delivers services across personal injury and occupational health. In this role you will assess clients’ rehabilitation needs, support recovery and employment goals, manage cases end-to-end, and provide expert advice to help clients return to work.

Responsibilities

Assess clients’ rehabilitation needs following injury or illness — physical, ergonomic, psychosocial or functional capacity evaluations; Support clients to define meaningful recovery or employment goals, then co-design and deliver tailored rehabilitation plans; Manage cases end-to-end: coordinate with workplaces, healthcare providers or insurers, monitor progress, adjust plans, and support sustainable outcomes; Provide expert advice — ergonomic, workplace-modification, functional capacity or return-to-work — based on your clinical specialism; Develop and broaden your skills as you work across a range of schemes; Support clients to return to the same job or to find new employment opportunity in local communities

Requirements

Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA as an EP or ASORC); Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling; Strong clinical reasoning; Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal; Passion to help people rehabilitate and achieve outcomes
