Responsibilities

Oaks Mackay Rivermarque Hotel are looking for an enthusiastic and service-driven Restaurant Manager to join our team on a full-time basis.; Key Responsibilities Include:; Oversee and ensure smooth, efficient, and professional daily operations of the restaurant & bar.; Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the property’s food and beverage offerings to promote to guests.; Collaborate with the kitchen team during service periods to ensure quality service, presentation, and guest satisfaction.; Supervise, coach, and train Food & Beverage Attendants, fostering a high-performing team.; Manage staff rostering, workflow, and service standards to ensure operational efficiency.; Monitor and maintain compliance with RSA, hygiene, and workplace health & safety standards.; Assist with stock control, ordering, and reporting as required.; Drive guest satisfaction, service excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives. Expected Hours: Full time, 38 hours per week; Location: Minor Hotels Australasia, Oaks Mackay Rivermarque Hotel, 55/63 River St, Mackay QLD 4740; Salary: $79,521.25 to $83,000 (excluding super); Approved Sponsor: Minor Hotels Australasia Limited (previously known as Oaks Hotels & Resorts Limited)

Requirements

Successful candidates will have:; 12+ months supervisory or managerial experience in a similar role.; 3+ years’ experience working in a restaurant or hotel environment.; Solid understanding of alcohol service (preferred but not essential).; Excellent written and verbal communication skills.; Exceptional customer service skills with a positive and professional attitude.; High level of self-motivation, confidence, and leadership capability.; Diploma in Hospitality Management or similar qualification (preferred but not essential).; Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
