Retail Store Associate

Enthusiastic, customer-obsessed Studio Sales Associate to join the team at the Burlington Mall studio location. The role involves creating an exceptional piercing and shopping experience, assisting customers with ear piercings, providing product recommendations, and ensuring the studio maintains high standards of cleanliness and safety. Supports the team on weekends. This is an hourly, non-exempt position reporting to the Studio Manager.

Responsibilities

Warmly greet and welcome customers; Check customers in or help them book appointments using POS, technology and software systems; Help customers choose and style piercing and hypoallergenic non-piercing jewelry; Professionally answer customer questions about piercing procedures, aftercare, and product details; Promote and upsell products including non-piercing jewelry and aftercare kits; Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product offerings; Meet or exceed individual sales targets and performance metrics; Help keep the studio clean, organized, and stocked; Follow all health and safety regulations, particularly for piercing procedures and hygiene; Assist managers with receiving, restocking, pricing, displaying, cleaning, and maintaining inventory; Work closely with Studio Managers and Studio Nurse Piercers; Participate in team meetings and training sessions; Support studio-wide goals and a positive work environment; Process transactions accurately, including sales, returns, and exchanges; Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and replenishing displays; Maintain accurate customer records, including consent and waiver forms and aftercare instructions

Requirements

Retail or service industry experience is a plus; Must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays; Independent thinker with a can do attitude; Love for jewelry and helping customers choose earrings; Pride in delivering exceptional customer service; Thrive in a busy environment and keep busy when it's quieter; Enjoy spending time with people; Nice, friendly, outgoing, and easy to get along with; Like being part of a team; Flexible and willing to lend a helping hand; Strong communication skills; Strong basic math skills; Ability to climb ladders, bend, lift, push, and reach above and below the waist; Ability to lift up to 25 pounds; Ability to stand for a full 8-hour shift; Commitment to following through
