RN - Specialty II - Newborn Transition Nurse - FT - Day - $20K Sign on Bonus - MRH

Provides direct patient care in an area designated as a specialty unit in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities

Evaluates learning needs of the patient and/or family and provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances; Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including disposition, referral, and spiritual and/or psychosocial support needs; Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel; May precept student nurses and new hires; Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources; Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate

Requirements

Accredited Program: Nursing (Required); Registered Nurse License (Florida or Compact); One (1) year of nursing experience required; ACLS certification required for ICU, ED, PACU, Endo, Tele, OB, MHN Pre-Op and Specialty Procedural areas; BLS certification required; NRP certification required for NICU (within 30 days if non-NICU background); PALS required for Pediatric areas with exception of NICU (within 30 days if non-pediatric background); Fetal Monitoring certification required for L&D RNs; Critical thinking skills, effective communications skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision; Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
