Route Supervisor

Under the direction of the Distribution Manager, will provide all aspects of leadership to HP Hood site drivers as well as the Distribution/Transportation Department by collaborating with drivers on the road conducting audits and training.

Responsibilities

Provide all aspects of leadership to HP Hood site drivers and the Distribution/Transportation Department; New Hire trainings to include at least two ride alongs a week; Minimum of 50% of work schedule will be on the road conducting audits and trainings; Assist the team in all aspects of promoting the company safety program, immediately identifying, and eliminating risks and driving safe work habits and behaviors; Assist Distribution Management on all motor vehicle accident reports and conduct injury reporting and investigations; Provide daily updates to internal and external customers on an as needed basis; Monitor route times; Participate in investigations and assist to resolve customer complaints as needed; Assist in management of company fleet needs and equipment repairs; Maintain DOT, HOS, and FMCSA compliance; Function as a back-up to drive routes in the event of a driver call out; Other duties as assigned

Requirements

CDL-A required; Experience in route structuring, safety, and customer satisfaction; Proven knowledge of DOT, FMCSA and HOS regulations and distribution safety management; Excellent people skills required; Excellent written and verbal communication skills required; Microsoft Office & Outlook

Nice to have

Prior experience in supervising commercial drivers preferred
