Royal Mail Delivery Driver

Royal Mail is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join us as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. As a Post Person with Driving, you’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, ensuring letters and parcels are delivered come rain or shine. You’ll drive round your delivery area, completing parts of your route on foot, providing exceptional service and ensuring every item reaches its destination safely. You’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.

Responsibilities

Be the face of Royal Mail in your community; Ensure letters and parcels are delivered safely, come rain or shine; Drive round your delivery area and complete parts of your route on foot; Provide exceptional service and securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards

Requirements

Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points; Physical fitness: prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of the van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg; Flexibility: shifts can vary, need to adapt at short notice; Must pass a driving assessment when starting
