Securities Lending & Financing Client Strategist, Vice President

The Global Securities Lending & Financing (SLF) business is part of BlackRock's Global Markets and Index Investments group. This Tokyo-based Vice President role works across the SLF and Cash Management businesses, with approximately 80% focused on Securities Lending & Financing and 20% supporting Cash Management in Japan. The role acts as a regional representative of the global SLF Client team, serving as a product and market expert for clients, and supports growth across Japan and the broader APAC region.

Responsibilities

Represent SLF as a trusted product and market expert; Deepen client relationships and identify new commercial opportunities; Expand SLF across APAC and Cash Management in Japan; Bring client perspectives into business and product strategy; Translate market and client data into actionable insights; Deliver clear, compelling client materials and market perspectives; Provide coverage and business development support for BlackRock's Cash Management business in Japan

Requirements

At least six years of relevant financial markets experience; Native-level proficiency in both Japanese and English; Credibility and confidence engaging with senior institutional clients; Ability to simplify complex financial products and market concepts into clear and compelling messages; Commercial mindset to identify opportunities and convert client needs into business growth; Ability to operate independently while contributing effectively across a global team; Entrepreneurial mindset and motivation to build and grow businesses in evolving markets; University degree and demonstrated interest in financial markets
