Senior Accountant

GHJ Search & Staffing is working with a fast-growing, consumer-focused company headquartered in Los Angeles who is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its collaborative and high-performing finance team. The ideal candidate brings a blend of public accounting and corporate accounting experience, thrives in a hands-on setting, and enjoys digging into the details while also improving processes.

Responsibilities

Own key components of the month-end and year-end close process; Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations; Perform flux and variance analysis across P&L and balance sheet accounts; Support financial reporting and assist with management reporting packages; Partner cross-functionally with Operations, FP&A, and external auditors; Assist with process improvements, documentation, and internal controls; Support audit and ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; 4+ years of progressive accounting experience; Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting; Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)

Nice to have

Public accounting strongly preferred; Experience in consumer products, manufacturing, inventory, or multi-entity environments is a plus; CPA or CPA-track preferred
