The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a variety of general accounting functions, with increased responsibility for financial reporting, project accounting, and analysis.

Responsibilities

Prepare all necessary financial reports, journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations accurately and on a timely basis; Daily cash management reports and bank reconciliations; Post adjusting journal entries at month-end; Preparation of monthly account and bank reconciliations; Deposit cash and scan backup; Daily cash management and bank reconciliations; Support staff on special projects as needed; Provide assistance with interim and year-end audits

Requirements

BS/BA degree in Accounting/Finance; 3-8 years of experience in accounting of similar for a major company or division of a large corporation; Experience in an Architecture/Engineering or Professional Service Company is a plus; Have an understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP); Strong computer skills, proficiency with Excel and Word; Good written and oral communication skills; Detail-oriented and highly motivated, self-starter; Superior organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills; Prior experience with Deltek VantagePoint would be a plus
