Senior Developer, Trust Platforms

Join 1Password's Trust & Identity Platforms team, where you'll build the foundational services and developer tools that enable secure, privacy-focused product experiences. You'll contribute to platforms spanning public key verification, identity, and confidential computing, helping make it easier for people and businesses to stay safer online.

Responsibilities

Write Rust and Go code with a focus on reliability, quality, and durability; Contribute to feature design, development, and release; Document technical solutions and new designs; Provide timely feedback on code submissions and design documents; Uphold and improve team processes; Help teammates build their skills through mentoring and coaching; Expand your technical knowledge and leadership skills while working on meaningful platform challenges

Requirements

5+ years of professional software development experience in a production Software as a Service (SaaS) environment; at least 1 year shipping production Rust code; Write idiomatic, asynchronous Rust in the Tokio ecosystem and work with the Rust Tower ecosystem; Build and maintain reliable server-side platform components and tools for other developers; Work effectively with Go, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Kubernetes, databases, and other cloud technologies; Apply a solid understanding of networking concepts, including Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), virtual sockets (vsock), and service meshes; Carry projects forward with autonomy while collaborating clearly with colleagues across teams; Bring a thoughtful approach to quality, detail, problem-solving, and continuous learning, with an interest in security, privacy, and cryptography
